Kochi Metro Rail Project 2012 recruitment of Directors

Kochi Metro Rail Project Ltd. (KMRL) is a joint venture of the Govt. of India and the Govt. of Kerala. The Kochi Metro Rail Project aims to provide eco-friendly, safe & economical public transport. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for appointment for the post of Directors in various sectors.


2012 Kochi Metro Rail Project Ltd. jobs for Directors
1. Director (Finance): You will be responsible for all finance & accounts functions, including preparation of budgets, project-related financial planning, improving & implementing financial management plan, appraisal of financial risks, overseeing & supervising administrative functions of KMRL, etc.

• Qualification: You should be a Graduate & member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/Institute of Costs and Works Accountants of India/MBA with specialization in Finance from reputed management institutes such as the Indian Institutes of Management.
• Experience: minimum 20 years post qualification experience in project finance/finance & accounts, etc.
• Age at recruitment: Minimum 45 years and maximum 57 years as on 1st October 2012.
• Tenure: It is a contractual tenure up to 5 years or attaining the age of superannuation (whichever is earlier) on immediate absorption basis. A further extension may be given in case of satisfactory performance and to be decided by the Board of Directors.

2.  Director (Projects): You will be responsible for consultancy services, planning & scheduling, monitoring and controlling of preliminary and final designs, construction activities, tendering, contract administration, rehabilitation of project affected persons & businesses, etc.

• Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute. 
• Experience: You should have at least 20 years of Group"A"/Executive Services in Railway Construction, Operation and Maintenance as well as a minimum of 5 years experience in planning, design & architecture and construction of large scale multi-disciplinary Railway projects. You should also be knowledgeable about safety norms and NB/IR codes. Experience in Experience in viaduct construction & in National/International Metro projects is desirable.
• Age at recruitment: Minimum 45 years and maximum 57 years as on 1st October 2012.
• Tenure: It is a contractual tenure up to 5 years or attaining the age of superannuation (whichever is earlier) on immediate absorption basis. A further extension may be given in case of satisfactory performance and to be decided by the Board of Directors.

3. Director (Systems):You will be responsible for the overall planning of systems for the project including consultancy, design, tendering, contracting, planning & executing and commissioning of systems. In addition, you will be responsible for the project administration, operations and maintenance of systems and Depot & Workshop, quality assurance &safety, etc.

Qualification: Degree in Electrical/Electronics & Communication Engineering from a reputed institute. Experience: 20years of Group"A"/Executive Services in Railways, out of which at least 5 years should be at a senior level in Railway Electrification /Rolling Stock/Signaling & Telecommunication Projects of large nature. Some experience in Railway EMU/Electric Locomotive manufacturing, maintenance and workshop facilities & in National/International Metro projects is desirable. Age at recruitment: Minimum 45 years and maximum 57 years as on 1st October 2012. Tenure: It is a contractual tenure up to 5 years or attaining the age of superannuation (whichever is earlier) on immediate absorption basis.
